Stacy's Pita Chips to Sponsor Festival's Main Stage

Festival organizers are thrilled to announce the addition of Stacy's Pita Chips to their family of sponsors for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival, supported by the Corning Museum of Glass. Stacey's will sponsor the event's Main Stage, nestled in the Festival's Food Court, hosting top regional musicians during the July 20-22 event. The 2007 Stacy's Main Stage will feature: Saturday, July 21, 2007 10:30am—Larry Stamatel - mixture of blues, rock and folk 2:00pm—Blues Plate Special - one of the area's top Blues band Sunday, July 22, 2007 10:30am—Rick Whalers Band - mixture of cool jazz and blues 2:00pm—Buford - rockin' blues Stacy's Pita Chip Company was founded in 1997 by a social worker and a psychologist with a passion for good food and a commitment to healthy living. With a desire for a career in the food industry, but without the capital to open a restaurant, Stacy Madison and Mark Andrus designed a food cart and began serving healthy pita bread roll-up sandwiches in Boston's Financial District. They were an instant hit, and the lines grew longer each day. As an incentive for customers to wait in line, they baked the leftover pita bread to create different flavored chips. Customers loved them, and they encouraged Stacy and Mark to get the chips into stores. They listened, and Stacy's Pita Chip Company was born.
